We invite you to join us for a virtual panel on January 12, 2021 with three of our artists who will talk together on the topic “Create Protest: How Artists Frame Dissent and Hope.” The panel is produced by Possibility Project, a conversation series "where changemakers talk about the big questions we need to answer now."
Create Protest artists Man One, Naimah Thomas, and Florencio Zavala will be interviewed by Possibility Project hosts Heather Hiscox and Devon Davey to exchange ideas around art & activism including the intersection of imagination/action, how artists create work that collides against fear and resistance, how the creation of artwork is in itself a political act, and how to create community around shared struggles.
This group of engaged artists inspires us all to see and do, to observe and take action, to pay attention and participate. It’s a perfect way to start the new year, with community, with a shared message of hope, unity, action.
