Final Two Weeks

October 23 Newsletter

We’re down to the final two weeks of this election season. The Senate is rushing through Amy Coney Barrett’s Supreme Court nomination while stalling on a new Covid relief bill to support the American people. The Republican Party in California has installed unofficial ballot collection boxes across the State to confuse voters. Biden and Trump held dueling Town Hall gatherings as opposed to debating together, and held one final debate on Thursday night.

The final presidential debate is schedule for Thursday, October 22 at 9pm ET. Topics that Biden and Trump will discuss are fighting COVID-19, American families, race in America, climate change, national security, and leadership. The debate will be moderated by NBC's Kristen Welker. We wish her luck, and hope that this will be a respectful and civil debate. Let’s see.

Postcard Writing Happy Hour

Special thanks to Holly for coordinating a group of friends to write postcards to voters on October 12 at Julienne Fine Foods and Celebrations. Ten dedicated postcard writers gathered on the patio to encourage voters in Ohio to vote blue. We wrote again on the fabulous postcards designed by our Create Protest artists. You can purchase your postcards here.

Create Protest Artists

Create Protest artist Florencio Zavala created new designs for our marketplace. In a call to gain attention to the urgent need for police reform, he created a “Police Humanity” line. He also created a new “Vota Azul” design to wear in these final days of this 2020 election cycle. Florencio is on a creative roll! Keep checking our site for new designs coming!

Create Protest artist Man One participated in Deborah Aschheim’s 365 Days of Voters drawing project wearing the “Vote” t-shirt he designed for our site. You too can have Deborah draw you when you send her a message saying why you vote. Message Deborah at @365daysofvoters and she’ll send you the link to participate. Many drawings together represent a movement!

BIDEN x DESIGN, a project of Unite the Country, is a diverse movement of artists and designers united by a common goal: to ensure Joe Biden is the next president of the United States of America. They’re calling on the creative community—designers, artists, painters, illustrators, animators, print makers, photographers, and anyone with a maker’s spirit—to unite with them in visualizing a collective support of Joe Biden for president.
